Owen Sound and Grey/Bruce is home to a number of marketing professionals, working with local clients to help them get better at promoting their businesses. Over the past few years, a handful of us – Jennifer Harris, Ryan Wiseman, Andrea Stenberg, Melissa Ruth and Gem Webb – started to get to know each other better. In various combinations, we’ve worked together to jointly serve shared clients. As we got to know each other better, we realized we have a similar philosophy and work ethic. We began to look for more ways we could team up to help even more clients.

Over several months of meetings, an idea began to germinate. We wanted to share our marketing knowledge and expertise with a wider array of business owners. The more we talked, the more excited we became.

Soon we began producing an internet radio show: “Media, Marketing and More”. We knew, however, that business owners wanted and needed more tools for marketing and promotion. We wanted to give them more practical tools. That’s when Brand Camp was conceived.

Brand Camp would be a full-day training session for business owners. Each of us would bring our own unique sets of skills and share them with the people who attended. This would not be a workshop full of enthusiastic talk but little value. It would not be a workshop of out-dated ideas. Instead, Brand Camp would include cutting-edge information. Participants would be given specific tools and strategies they could use right away to increase traffic, get more attention and attract new customers.

The first Brand Camp Workshop was born June 2nd with rave reviews from participants:
